GRTC bus routes connect with many exciting and important holiday destinations in Greater Richmond! With expanded service and hours, we serve more shopping and employment centers than ever before. We've picked some of our top bus routes below to connect you with the best holiday experiences in Henrico County, the City of Richmond and beyond!





GRTC Pulse | $1.50 per ride

GRTC Pulse is a modern, high quality, high capacity rapid transit system that serves a 7.6-mile route along Broad Street and Main Street, from Rocketts Landing in the City of Richmond to Willow Lawn in Henrico County. GRTC Pulse is jointly sponsored by Bon Secours Richmond Health System and VCU Health System.Providing service to over 30,000 riders per week, the Pulse links to many exciting destinations, businesses, services, and restaurants. Meet Legendary Santa at the Children's Museum, enjoy holiday shows at theaters Downtown, and ice skate at the 17th Street Market in Shockoe Bottom.

Route 19 West Broad | $1.50 per ride

The Route 19 provides daily 30-minute service along West Broad Street between The Shops at Willow Lawn and West Broad Marketplace near the Goochland-Henrico line, including stops at Short Pump Town Center, West Broad Village (ice skating rink!), and Green Gate.

Route 102X Kings Dominion | $5.00 per ride

GRTC provides service on the Kings Dominion 102x through December to WinterFest for just $10 round-trip. Holiday traditions come to life at Kings Dominion's WinterFest. Friends and families are treated to an ultimate holiday celebration as the park magically transform into a winter wonderland - full of enchantment, cheer, and classic family fun. WinterFest is packed with all the sights, sounds, food and experiences of the holiday season. The park shines bright with over 2 million shimmering lights, a 300-foot tree, and lavish displays. Twelve live shows and up to 34 strolling performers delight guests and spread cheer for all to hear. Festive fun and hands-on holiday activities are located throughout the park, and sweet aromas from special holiday dishes and desserts fill the midways. Plus, up to 21 of your favorite rides will be open to complete your night of memory making.

Route 5 Cary/Main/Whitcomb | $1.50 per ride

The Route 5 connects daily with Carytown's "Mile of Style" for all your favorite boutique and local stores and restaurants. Catch a holiday flick at the Historic Byrd Theatre, listen to live music at Ellwood Thompson's The Beet, and enjoy the holiday window displays and lights.

Route 7 A/B Nine Mile Henrico | $1.50 per ride

This route provides daily 30-minute service between Downtown Richmond and Henrico's East End, including front door service to Richmond International Airport and White Oak Village. Traveling light? Ride the 7 to the Airport with your carry-on luggage on our bus, and skip paying to park.

Routes 1A and 2B to Chesterfield County | $1.50 per ride

Two routes, 1A Chamberlayne/Hull/Midlothian (daily) and 2B North Ave/Jahnke/Midlothian (Monday - Saturday), connect from Richmond to Chesterfield County on Midlothian Turnpike to shopping centers including Spring Rock Green, Chippenham Square Shopping Center and Stonebridge Shopping Center.

Route 79 Patterson/Parham | $1.50 per ride

With weekday service between The Shops at Willow Lawn and Gayton Crossing and Regency Square Mall, this route offers many shopping and dining destinations. Meet Santa at Regency Square Mall, a family-friendly indoor shopping experience.

Route 77 Grove | $1.50

This neighborhood route operates daily, serving The Shops at Willow Lawn, Libbie and Grove, and Robinson Street. Stops are a short walk from museums, including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA), the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, the Science Museum of Virginia, and the Children's Museum of Richmond.
