People who experience chronic pain are looking for answers. More and more Americans are plagued with chronic health issues like acute and chronic pain, digestive disorders and auto-immune disorders, which are not always effectively treated with drug therapy alone. This talk will introduce the causative factors of chronic pain and explain how acupuncture, nutrition therapy, and herbal medicine can be an effective alternative to conventional medicine without the side effects. Instead of the usual practice of chasing symptoms, participants will see how we can lay out an effective plan for getting and staying healthy.

ABOUT| Greg Dow, LAc, MSOM

Greg completed his four-year masters in acupuncture and herbal medicine at South West Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO. which consists of 3092 hours of education including 1,140 hours of rotations in a busy out-patient clinic with renowned specialists in treating pain, OBGYN disorders, digestive disorders and sleep disorders. Greg specializes in treating pain, stress and digestive disorders with a holistic approach that corrects the root of the imbalance not just the symptoms. His patients experience symptomatic relief, enhance other aspects of health and most importantly, they stay healthy. He is a licensed acupuncturist in both Virginia and Colorado and certified by National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Several years ago, dealing with ongoing health issues, Greg recognized the need to make some lifestyle changes. Greg experienced chronic back, neck and shoulder pain. He was constantly stressed and experienced digestive irritation. In addition to these problems, Greg experienced moderate to severe insomnia. Every morning he would wake up exhausted and in excruciating pain which prevented him from enjoying some of the activities and exercise that he appreciated before. Every decision he made from when to eat to his attendance of social events was influenced by this cloud of health issues, that had completely taken over his life.

With weekly acupuncture sessions, herbal medicine, doing some home exercises, and making some dietary and lifestyle modifications, Greg was not only able to resolve his struggles with chronic pain but also experience greater health in many other aspects of his life. He started to wake up feeling refreshed, he was able to get through the week without having digestive issues, and his pain just melted away. This experience inspired him so much that he committed to studying this medicine in Colorado.

Today, Greg is passionate about helping his patients experience the absolute highest level of health and wellness. Greg uses acupuncture, herbal medicine, several types of Asian body work, nutrition therapy and lifestyle coaching to achieve this objective.

Thanks Greg, for relieving my lower back pain with your acupuncture and massage. I was in pain for the last 4-6 weeks. When you did the first treatment, I could feel relief hours later. After several more treatments I feel much better! Acupuncture works! Thanks again for your top notch professional service and for listening to me about my ailment and helping me!
