Among the many shopping-focused messages reaching us during the holiday season, it’s a reprieve to have local partners with a dedication to conscious consumption & ‘goods that do good’ to break through that clutter. Love This RVA does just that and then some, and they’ll be in our parking lot on Thursday, December 7th, to share their philosophy and ‘good goods’ with you!
Love This is a mobile boutique out of a vintage Airstream Trailer (affectionately nicknamed ‘The Stream’) inspiring consumers to make ethical shopping choices. Curators of goods that do good, Love This highlights brands that place equal value in the design of their products as they do their social, environmental & economic impact. Their carefully selected, handmade collection includes apparel, jewelry, personal accessories, shoes, paper goods and home decor that empower and support others.
Meet Rupa, the owner & manger of Love This. She believes that we all have huge purchasing power and we can make a difference with our dollar. Rupa moved to Richmond in 2008 and says this city brought out the tenacious advocate in her for the things she had always valued – people and planet. She is a zero waste amma (mom) to two little girls, an organizational wife to an altruistic architect, and 100% committed to encouraging thoughtful consumption.
Meet her in ‘The Stream’ on December 7th or take a listen to her Creative Mornings talk here in the meantime!
This event is free and open to all. Browse Rupa’s collection and, if you so choose, purchase an item and know you helped create positive change in the process.
In The Beet, we’ll have local, craft beer on draft, plus local and organic wine, and cider options waiting for you at the bar, with happy hour specials from 4 to 7PM as well. Did we mention live, local music from 5 to 7PM too to round out the evening?
